Now this is the latest! He is more honest than the SOB Alan Greensspan! Finally they tell us that they have screwed the economy and they don't know where we are heading? As a friend suggested yesterday AG is a traitor. He should be arrested and tried for sabotage!

Fed's Meyer: Slowdown More Than Expected

Apr 5 12:16pm ET

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Federal Reserve Governor Laurence Meyer said on Thursday the U.S. economic expansion has slowed much more sharply than he had foreseen, and said it was difficult to forecast its future.

"I did not see the degree of slowdown which turned out to be much sharper than I expected,' Meyer told an audience on legislative issues that was organized on Capitol Hill by Rep. Marty Meehan, a Massachusetts Democrat.

Meyer spoke for about 30 minutes to the legislative, business and community leaders from financial institutions and later took questions. One participant asked him whether his past forecasts for the economy had always been accurate.

He acknowledged that the slowdown was sharper than he had foreseen and said "the degree of uncertainty (in the U.S. economy) makes forecasts difficult."

Meyer did not take questions from reporters.""
