Highways allow vehicles to travel in both directions. Long or short, it's all the same, just so long as you sell higher than you buy.

By the way, be thankful (as are those who are charged with "maintaining orderly markets") that a few bears did manage to survive the mania. They provide the ONLY buyers when panic sets in, which slows the descent into hell.

I would also beg you to reconsider your strategy, as it will see you become much poorer before the year is over. You are observing a standard bear market rally in operation..... sharp, violent and SHORT. Don't be taken in by a few hours of stupidity, profit from it.
