I don't see the real issue being discussed here. In fact,
I don't see anyone pointing out a very important issue.
That plane should never have landed, where it did, in the
first place. Those in control of the plane probably
destroyed their military career. The plane should have
been ditched in the ocean, if it couldn't make it to an
American base. That type of equipement and plane should
never, ever land on an enemy base, even if the whole crew
has to die. That is the risk and those who fly the missions
know the risk. They screwed up in ROYAL fashion. The
Chinese were given advanced electronics equipement. What
do they have to be mad about? The Chinese got a nice
present.

Now, this leads to another question. The fact that the
plane did land at the nearest base, an enemy base, were
there "joy riders" aboard, like that submarine incendent,
as to the reason the plane wasn't ditched.

If I were one of the 24 crew members, I wouldn't want to
leave China, knowing what is in store for me when I returned
home. Those 24 crew members aren't heros, they are morons,
whose military career is history.
