They are neither heroes or morons, just guys/girls going to daily work,
albeit more dangerous than average. As to ditching in the sea water is not soft and the chances
of surviving the crash and being rescued are low. It is unlikely the Chinese got a great deal of information
as the self destruct mechanisms work quite well as do the shredders. As one who has spent many a lonely hour over water(flying) the last place I would want to land is in the sea if I had an alternative. And, incidentally, I did not realize the Chinese were our enemies at the time of the incident. Our sailors and airmen do a
difficult job under trying circumstances. Try backing them instead of knocking
