We are characterized as prodigal sons, or lambs that have strayed, creatures still dear to the father or shepherd, in the parables, not as moral horrors barely worth saving.
To which comes that most obvious question... so why does an omniscient, omnipotent, merciful and just God require belief before granting salvation? If we are so dear, why not judge us for what we are? or even, what we do, how we live, how we treat others? Why set traps, play games, allow sin and indeed evil...? Why exclude so many dear children from thy love because they change as they grow? *DOES NOT COMPUTE*
