Hello Magnatizer,

03/29/01 2,124,500 (0.15) (2,124,500) (141,633) (206,245) D 2,124,500 (0.15) (2,124,500) (141,633) (206,245) D 6,688,200 0.45 6,688,200 148,627

I had to remove the headings -- for some reason it
just throws them all over the place. Following the
date, the column is the daily volume, the 2nd is
price change, the 3rd is net volume, the 4th is pennies
per volume, the 5th is cumulative number if applicable,
and the 6th is a designation of U for up, or D for down.

This goes on for 30 stocks. So, on the far right side
I'll have one cell that counts all the ups and in
another all the downs.

Yes, I can go in (and will probably have to) and create
an up column and a down column and simply place a 1 in
one or the other and the totals are then simple.
But, I just wanted to see if one could convert the
number of letters to a total number<g>. I guess cause
it's there and I don't know how.

Take care,

Eric
