Rubble,
you must be joking. the arb play is to sell the acquirer and buy the acquiree to make the money of the discount until the discount disappear, ie. the merger closed. Not close the position when discount increasing. The suddenly discount increase has to come from the increasing possibility of deal break, at this situation, the potential court ruling against wcom's offer or some other legal challenge to delay the merge completion. I just hope Friday's court ruling has no surprise, then the discount will close very fast. ZG
