Ya Ha! But of course...I should have thought of that myself!! All that beer I've been giving them is a waste!...just kidding. I talked with a very knowledgable person who works for the OTHER chip maker with a license for x2 and he told me the same thing about switching pairs. The telco did that and I don't drop down to 26.6 or lower as before. I really go along with the idea that given the nature of copper I should get different connect rates as conditions change, I don't get that! I get 28.8 constantly weeks on end no matter what the weather does. I live near the Monterey Bay and we pay for our sunny days with fog...if we get one -two days of hot sunny weather we pay back with two - three days of fog. My connections have been sticking right at 28.8 be it sunshine or fog.
