I mentioned it in another post but, have you heard the story of Col. Billy Mitchell, and that he was court martialed because of his insistence that carriers would be vital in the next war after WWI, and that if we did not prepare, America would be attacked by carrier base planes.

I remember that much, but it was so long ago that I read it, and saw the movie, that there may be some slight differences. Gary Cooper played Mitchell in the movie "The Court Martial of Billy Mitchell".
