Of course we have them. But not openly. Americans can't wander around the Chinese countryside freely taking photographs of whatever they want to.

Define aggressor here. On the facts we have now, our airplane was in international air space doing what it was fully entitled by international law to do and had in fact been doing for twenty years. Other aircraft, who by international law, being smaller and swifter, are legally obligated to stay out of the way of our larger, slower airplane, intercepted it. Apparently the Chinese fighters have become more and more aggressive about coming closer and closer to our planes. It looks most likely, at the moment, that one of them, either by intent or accident, got a wee bit too close and struck our airplane.

So, who is the aggressor here??
