What exactly are you using as your basis that WCOM can walk if things aren't settled by September 30? As I stated in my posts back in December, WCOM is obligated to go through with the merger in spite of any pending suits. The only thing that can stop the merger is a court injunction blocking it, which the court has been unwilling to do. WCOM's actions in the past few months has even further obligated them to go through with the merger. I agree with you that much of the widening spread can be imputed to other merger deals falling through.
