I'm wondering about this "new" technology of using asics. I know we don't have hardly any info on it. I can't help but wonder. If this were to work out...

One)Knowing ntap's technology. It seems to me that it is no big problem to add more processors to the mix?

Two) In that case. It is still advantage ntap. Because the processors can serve more than one operating system at one time. Those asics must be "re-programmed" by a human. Then the asic is then locked into the other system it is operating for.

Three) From that post where the guy talked to the designer of this "new" technology. The man definitely showed an attitude toward Brocade and using their switches. Seems he has a very childish attitude toward established companies. I would like to suggest that this attitude of his will invite mistakes...
