Yes mindmeld, we're waiting for the same thing.

My wetfingerometer says 3 B$ less combined cash & securities. I figure 1/3 - 2/3 split between cash position and securities position ought to be in the ballpark.

I am fully aware that cash flow (and by implication net cash position) is affected as much by financing activities as operating activities. For ex. 3.8 B$ financing activities was negative to cash flow [EDIT: versus 2.8 B$ from operating was positive], but securities position increased by only 0.2 B$ from 11.8 to 12.... Bulk was 1.6 B$ as mentioned, plus melt of portfolio exposed to deteriorating market conditions.

And yes, be prepared for mind numbing wierdness this Q. Knowing which, I am surprised your stance is not more conservative.
