Tom,

I use the CD-Rom version of the expanded edition. I get the "paper" reports in Adobe Acrobat format, and I get both the 1700 stock version and the expanded version. So, I get everything you do except that it's in electronic format. Once a month Value Line sends out a new CD-Rom that updates the database screening tool and all of the reports. However, every day (for Version #3) and weekly (for Version #2) I download update files from Value Line that keeps me current with what paper subscribers receive weekly. Actually, the electronic format is slightly faster because we get the alerts on a daily basis in our download under Version #3, whereas paper subscribers have to know that they must go to the Value Line website and login to get their alerts. It is my understanding that most paper subcribers do not do this. I'm not aware if libraries make their online account available to their users or not. I'd suspect they don't, but I'm guessing... I've never used the Internet subscription format, so I can't comment on that one. My main reason for preferring the CD-Rom version is the database screening tool. The only drawback is downloading the update files, which can sometimes be quite slow on a 56kb connection. But, that's a small price to pay when contrasted with the value of the information received. Overall, I'm quite pleased.
