Go down to the library and look up what apology means to an oriental culture. Then look up what regret means to that culture. Finally look up what "face" means. By insisting on something they do not deserve, they are losing face. The longer it lasts, the more they lose. Yes, it takes time, but they started it, thinking we are inexperienced in oriental culture.

You did not answer my question.....not surprising.

And frankly, I am not sure your take on the Asian culture is an accurate analysis of where the Chinese leaders sit in this matter nor does it take into account the split in their leadership......just like several years ago when Chinese leaders were faced with the same kind of save face proposition, and decided to massacre students in Tienman Square.

Are you willing to risk 24 lives on your take of the Chinese position? Sorry, but I'm not.
