Andreas, from your post: Hammer - no complete new design but a redesign of the Athlon - new infrastructure - SSE2 support not 100% certain at this time, although AMD has an license for it - first Clawhammers in first half of 2002 Looks like I was right. Hammer will indeed be largely based off of the Athlon core. I'm wondering about that comment that I put in boldface. Shouldn't AMD be pretty sure by now, given that the "roadmaps" (which seem to be written with washable ink these days) show Clawhammer being released in Q1 2002? Tenchusatsu
