After this patent expired, this technology was expanded upon by several other companies to include real time control of security and continuous process operations in homes, office buildings, industrial processing and vending gasoline. Power line signal transmission technology is valued for its potential to control anything without the need foradditional wiring to connect the nodes (which consist of the sensors, actuators and, in the case of distributed controls, microprocessors). The other main benefit is that the control network can use the existing power line topology as the communications medium. READ THIS AND TELL ME ABOUT THE SEVU PATENTS! I want an answer!
