Why don't you write your congressman to investigate the fraud from programmed institutional selling to use borrowed shares to force prices down, a price fixing conspiracy, to trigger margin and maintenance calls, more price fixing conspiracy, and to couple it with ANALysts that fail to disclose their instutional clients conflicts of interests as they enter the ANYTHING GOES method of releasing false or misleading downgrades against the competitors of their underwriting clients companies to give them an edge and hedge etc. I think short sellin should be illegal, it is a form of conversion of the equitable value held by the true shareholders of record.
