I wonder what bearing the architectural wars will have in such an acquisition decision. Where Cisco (OIF) and Sycamore (ODSI) were at odds, could such differences be overlooked in an acquisition? Which begs another question, entirely: Which of the original ODSI proponents "would" be in a position to acquire them? Or do these questions have no bearing at all on the matter?
