Richard: Because of their resilience up to this point, the semi equips, and AMAT in particular, make up a disproportionate amount of the SOX at this juncture. In fact, AMAT may be the largest component on the Sox. I am not big on conspiracy theories, but if one wanted to prop up the SOX, one would buy AMAT primarily.
