Last night I was shopping in Lechter's and saw a potato masher I wanted. Made by Oxo, a wonderfully innovative company that makes kitchen utensils with thick black rubber handles that are great for people with arthritis. But the label said "Made in China" and I didn't buy it.

There were about 20 different types of utensils, about half made in China, half made in Taiwan. I'm going to send an email to Oxo and tell them that if the label says "Made in China," I won't buy it. They should do business with another country. Maybe Mexico or India. They are nice people - let's write them a polite email and ask them nicely to please find another country to make their very nice utensils.

I bought a copy of "The Tianenmen Papers", but Ben (15 year old) wanted to read it so I haven't started it yet. Looks very interesting.

We had our usual Friday night dinner at our favorite Chinese restaurant, we've been going there every Friday night for years. I like Chinese people, my feelings are not personal towards Chinese people.
