Michael, Do you believe we should ratify the Kyoto Protocols and implement them immediately? Of course. Europeans are voting with their feet. And they're still immigrating to the United States in droves. If we relaxed our immigration laws, we would be flooding with people. If it's so wonderful there, why are so many of them desiring to leave? Western Europe is out of room to grow. California is viewed as the chosen land. It offers sunshine and startups. Eastern Europeans move to California and stay. Western Europeans come for two years, start to hate the lack of culture, and go back home. I've seen this dozens of times. BTW: Immigration to Europe is far more restrictive than to the US. I recently spoke to my sisters mother and father and in-law. And the picture of life in England is quite different than the one you just painted. What part do they live in? Northern England is cold and wet. Southern England is booming. Everyone in Europe doesn't have a cell phone. And it's silly to make such a statement. 2/3 of the people in the UK have cell phones. In other countries, the number is higher. Scumbria
