If the Legg Mason analyst really believed that Winstar was going to make it out of this mess and if he knew that the Winstar bonds were trading for pennies on the dollar (they really are), he should be telling people to buy the bonds not the stock, IMO.
My opinion is that the Legg Mason analyst is clueless and makes his firm look bad and that the Winstar story is almost over.
