No problem..here it is whenever you want it.

E

I'd download another copy of WinZip from here.. winzip.com . Download it to a place that you can find after it finishes. After downloading you should right-click the winzip80 file and highlight and left-click on Scan with Norton Antivirus from the dropdown menu. It's never a bad idea to scan files even from a trusted source to be sure they haven't somehow gotten infected. Now use Ctrl+Alt+Delete to bring up the Close Program box and hit end task button on everything listed except Systray and Explorer. You may have to endtask on some of them several times before they close. Sometimes a second window comes up when a program is being stubborn and just click on end task button there. Your Norton stuff or some other application can interfere with the install of Winzip.

After shutting down everything but systray and explorer click on the WinZip80 file and it will open. Click the setup button to install WinZip.

Click ok on the first box that should show C:\Program Files\WinZip in the dialog box. WinZip will now install itself.

Most beginner winzip users find it easier to use the winzip wizard. If you want to use it that way click next, Yes, Print quick start (read later if you wish), next, put dot in WinZip wizard circle, next, next ,next, next and close.

Restart your computer and download enditall from here
zdnet.com

Scan the file with Norton and do the Ctrl+Alt+Delete thing again and close everything but systray and explorer. Go to the file named Enditall (it has an icon that looks like a vise) and click on it and WinZip will automatically open. Hit the "I Agree" button, next, put a dot in Unzip or install from "enditall.zip" and click next, next, install now.

On enditall installation screen, click next, next, next, next, finish, and close on the WinZip window.

Restart your computer.

Now, whenever you are going to install anything or are prompted to shut down all applications click on the desktop Enditall Icon or start enditall by going to the start button, programs, enditall.

When enditall starts up you should already have a lock next to Explorer, Systray, and Enditall. Click the enditall button on the bottom right of the window and enditall will close all the running applications. Some will show red X's when they close and some will show ?'s. Click the refresh button and they will close.

Now you don't have to go through all that C+A+D stuff all the time.

As far as the programs listed on startup, let's get this out of the way first. Now disable your screensaver if you have one and try defragging with Norton. If that doesn't work we'll try a dos defrag like mark talked about.
