-OT- Unique Visitors Brian, I believe unique visitors are logged solely on the basis of cookies. Another metric that bears analysis is unique sessions. Depending on how you set up your logging software a session is said to expire after 30 minutes of inactivity. Some websites fudge the numbers by reporting unique sessions as unique visitors, which can be misleading.
