"Just because people are free to make their own moral choices doesn't necessarily mean that everyone will be less moral, although some surely will. We don't have to approve of people who excuse low morals under the freedom scenario any more than we would under the authoritarian model."
I would counter that under the freedom scenario, it is impossible to distinguish between high, low, or anywhere you go, morals, since the standard by which we measure all behavior has been eliminated. I'm afraid that's essentially where we are now, only no body has the guts to tell the Emperor that his new suit of moral clothes are not really there.
As far as Adultery goes, "The Bible doesn't speak to that, I'll bet." I don't bet, but if I did, I'd bet you would lose that wager. Matthew 19:9 "I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, and marries another woman commits adultery." There is perhaps one other exception, and that is abandonment by an unbelieving spouse. Other than that, divorce is not permitted. Separation without remarriage is also a possibility, but that should only be done with an eye towards reconciliation.
