gst, i'm not saying that china doesn't have opportunity - it does. all i'm doing is tempering enthusiasm that china is some economic savior. it isn't. progress will be made for sure. but, it will be very slow progress. i think perspective is often lost by folks who count people (nobody is debating they don't) and stand in awe. i'm in awe with their population, too. i'm just not in awe with their economics or what it will do for the us in the short term. slow and steady progress can reasonably be anticipated. a panacea for solving the world's economic problems or a ready made market of MASSIVE demand can not. at least not in my estimation. blood, sweat, tears and time are required to develop china and those are not the reports i'm hearing. i'm hearing chinese shangri la...
