Sam, it's quite simple to mask a single 512Mbit flash chip into a single-chip, 64MB CF or MMC card. If we knew the die size stats for current SNDK flash products, it wouldn't take a genius to compute the cost-per-card for next-generation products.

Die sizes (in mm^2) are commonly published for CPUs such as the Intel PIII but I don't recall ever reading a word about the flash used in CF or MMC. Is there anyone out there who knows the die sizes for current SNDK product(s)?
