I would not say that he does not have a point here and there, just that sometimes he's flat wrong and it can be expensive.

I had a mailing the other day, don't know where it is at the moment. He showed a lack of knowledge of history, but a grasp on what the average person believes is history. So I don't know if he plays off fear or actually believes what he says is true.

Anyway, I recall once he said in one message to go Long the Yen and in another to Short it, so I called his office and asked which for a clarification. Jackass who answered got angry and hung up.

Scale trading can be profitable but is also a dangerous way to trade. Particularly when the guy conveniently forgets about the trades that are going bad and focuses on those that are making out. Probably his style may be better applied using Futures Options.
