That is the question. My sense is if they can deliver in the short term during this trough when 80% of the companies are lowering expectations, GE will deliver 4Q 2001 and 2002 when these rate cuts start to take hold. Plus remember there are probably more rate cuts ahead. It's my sense that bears at these levels are the same as bulls at Naz 5000. They might get a few more drops of blood out of this turnip but the preponderance of the gains are probably on the upside from here. BWDIK?

GE layoffs:
People at GE are going to get axed in the near term, but that doesn't mean that new people aren't going to get hired right back once business heats up again.
