Terry, agree the current round of commercials/advice are a joke. I'd love to see a commercial for a Prudent Bear short fund with the likes of Dennis Hopper sitting around a bon fire throwing logs into a fire with the names of blue chip co's shouting out "burn, bitch, burn". Now that might get their attention.

Or gold funds could run an E-Trade parody along the lines of their famous "What's his problem? He's got money coming out of the wazoo..." Except this time it would be "What's his problem? He's bleeding from every orifice, he's got The Abbies"

The really pathetic thing is that these same jokers (Pru, Fidelity, Lehman, etc) that talked people into buying at 4,000-5,000 talking about new valuation metrics are now telling people that in these uncertain times the need a broker more than ever. I'm thinking the bear markets ads might make me puke more than the bull market ads.

I'm betting you'll see more parodies of CNBC soon...all very negative.
