I wonder when the time cutoff is used on these February consumer spending numbers. My guess is that the bottom fell out about in line with the rollover of the S&P and NASDAQ in mid-Feb. ca.finance.yahoo.com^SPC&d=3m ca.finance.yahoo.com^IXIC&d=3m That's when Joe and Martha realized there really wasn't any Santa Claus or Tooth Fairy. Should also mark the beginning of a long mutual fund liquidation process.
