Hi Dennis;
Thank you for maintaining this board which I have kept bookmarked for a year or so primarily as an interested investor in QCOM and LWIN.

It strikes me that the recent flurry of excitement over Vodafone's possible interest in achieving domination in the ownership of Verizon might be clarified by an understanding of what has happened in Mexico with Vodafone's purchase of the Peralta property. After all, aren't they hereby buying another CDMA operating system when, according to several posters, would be contraindicated by a body which desired to see the uniform GSM footprint around the world. Wouldn't it make more sense, if Vodafone had such an intent to buy part of Telcel or some of the smaller operators, one of whom I presume is building a GSM network?

Or is this purchase of a Verizon dominated carrier just an indication of the satisfaction of both parties with the current partnership type arrangements displayed in the US?

I have not personally been very concerned about Vodafone's intent as they are not nearly as big or powerful, in my view, as they seem to be to some people on the moderated thread, despite being more focussed on wireless than is VZ. Do you see any significance to the investment in Iusacell along these lines?

L.
