A lot of things about this whole game are silly but it's a fun casino. I wouldn't call U.S. corporations liars and decievers for the most part I believe they're motivated by something less sinister, namely, greed. This is a trait probably shared by Russian, Chinese, and Japanese corporations as well.

Their leveraging was ok until the drying up of the money supply and the tightening of credit caused the wheels to fall off from the top down. Kind of short sighted of them not to foresee this, I know I never thought of it.

I think everything goes in cycles. We went up and now we've come down. Those who are negative are pressing and it will be time to go back up again soon. I doubt we go back to Nasdaq 5000 in a hurry, but for those who are willing to start over with Nasdaq 1700 and S&P 1125 as a baseline there will be some nice buyable and sellable rallies. Those who stand pat probably won't get their money back from the casino. Sounds overly simplistic but over the years I'm seeing a pattern emerging.

I don't know what the catalyst will be on the upside. But one will appear just as one always appears to cause the downside.
