Yep... I just don't get why CA is so opposed to nuclear power. Now, please, to all those potentially offended greenies out there, I consider myself a serious environmentalist at heart so, forget the "flames" for the following...

Let's face it, everyone, (except those who just don't want to believe it), knows that modern nuclear power plants are green-friendly... Properly designed, operated and maintained, nuclear plants emit no radiation to the environment. It is well established that even coal powered plants emit radiation out of their stacks,not to mention all those nasty green-house gases... A modern nuclear plant emits none. (By the way, I'm clean coal friendly too so, all you industry guys out there, don't get offended...)

I'm just interested in knowing why CA folk don't want the abundant, cheap electricity that's available from nuclear power. Surely there are a lot of available, safe sites not located on some fault line...
