people are about content of character. period. being over weight does increase the risk of various illnesses and should be avoided if one's genetics and knowledge provides a way.

having said that, i'd rather live 20 years and be a decent human being than spend 200 years demoralizing people.

the key point is to not allow others to define you. ignorance is all around. know yourself and strive to have good character content (build up don't destroy).

putting skinny folks down to make over weight folks feel good is not right, imho. build everyone up.

opinions based on ignorance should not bother us - even if ignorance abounds. i say this on an intellectual level b/c ignorance bothers me when i *know* it shouldn't. on my good days i keep perspective. not every day is good.

focus on the future to make it better than the past. if one does that, they are doing pretty good.

this comes from a guy who just had van bon jovie and impristine spend a lot of energy trying to put me down due to a bad experience i had with an ulnar nerve compression. they were really quite viscious. i'm *extremely* thankful that i've improved a lot so i can handle their ignorance quite well.

if i was at my low, though, i wouldn't have been quite so gracious.
