I think the point was it was written a long time ago by folks who were rather primitive. Belief is a powerful thing whether or not what is believed in is "true" (whatever that means). People of all faiths have "miraculous" healings and perform "miraculous" deeds. You have know way of knowing if Jesus was who he said he was. If he did what he is reputed to have done. Or even if he existed at all. You can choose to BELIEVE the sources available (which you obviously do) but you really can't prove it to anyone and you can only know it through belief.

I know you will tell me Jesus is the only one who said ...yada yada yada- that's fine that's what you BELIEVE.
But it's just a book to me Greg. It's a book you believe in. It's just a book to me. I know it's the word of God to you, but that doesn't do a thing for people outside of your belief system. It still just looks like a book to us. A book written a long time ago, with a lot of versions, and a lot of contradictions.
