V, Why is the Naz not tanking today? We still have Thursdays gains to give up. This could be a reason.

I checked the Janus fund cash levels as of Feb 28/2001.
The big fund sitting on about 20% cash. I bet they were not buying too much in March. Maybe they have more than enough to take into account the redemptions and will be sitting on cash. The big funds can move the markets in a big way especially when there is a large base of traders who are shor the Naz.

In addition, these funds appears to have shifted away from tech in past few months among that heavyweight fund company.
Fidelity is already light on tech.

So what does that mean? I would say that if the market holds up today or gains, it could be a sign that money is being put to use by buying. If the markets tank by day end, well then it is still a wait and see situation.

I don't believe it will be about earnings in the coming weeks.

(formerly t2--changed my name for a new bull market possibly)
