I had previously heard $2.50 in the midwest and $3.00 on the West Coast, and that pretty well matches this article since they say there's only a 25% chance of $3 and $2 is a given. 87 octane goes for about $1.50 in the midwest right now. If you're driving a Navigator, Expedition, or Excursion, I suggest you sell it immediately. If you haven't already rolled it, of course. It's my understanding "real world" mileage for the Excursion is about 7 mpg. A DFI jetski does that well. SUV's suffer more bad news: www2.marketwatch.com The party is ending for SUV's. Gas rising, emissions, CAFE, rollovers; you name it. The cat is out of the bag. And a lot of new SUV's are just being launched or pending. Not looking good for Porsche and Saturn.
