Pat, will the state take over PG&E? Sounds very weird about the raises, but I haven't followed the political situation in California? Our governor wants us to cut back 10% on our use of water, and that may be hard for us to do since there are only two here. We have a very popular governor. His name is Gary Locke. I've never seen him in person but he strikes me as sensitive and sincere, two qualities that you don't often find in a politician. It turns out that the Ladies Mid-Afternoon Swim Exercise program at our community center is inhabited by political groupies that cut across age, ethnic, economic backgrounds, and even though political party affiliation is mixed I've never heard one person say anything bad about the Governor. This may be a good thing since we could have a rough summer because of a water shortage. Really, I've never met such a group of activists! You'd expect to see students rattle on about politics, but I never expected such intense interest in the Ladies Exercise Program! (laugh)!!! My husband thinks it's a hoot! Mephisto
