I've read a lot of different estimates on those warrants so it's anyone's
guess as the final value. Since they don't have any underlying value
except the settlement, I think there are better values in the actual
S&L stocks. An S&L analyst on NBR tonight said the two best plays are
Long Island Savings and Coast Savings (California). I've been holding
GLN, bought the old stock @ 3/4 and then added the new @ 5, so that's
been a good one. Analysts figure the buyout value of GLN is 30 and
that one of the Eastern banks that wants a West Coast presence might
pay that.
