Couple of interesting items about DMW recently:

1) evacuation from Sierra Leone, leaving security personnel
to guard their holdings (expect the coup has resulted in some
fall in their stock price)

2) Barron's on line article (latest issue has two interesting
features on VSE and ASE stocks). In one a geologist from
Robertson Stephens indicated stocks they hold or think are for real based on their
field investigations, DMW was among them. Others by the way are: First Dynasty Mines, Armada gold, Vengold, Farallon, Etruscan Enterprises and Sutton Resrouces

DMW has been criticised on another thread for their use of certain security people. I think the Sierra Leone situation
would vindicate their policy and protect their assets. Not
to have credible security in unstable, violent and chaotic situations could in fact threaten the lives of
their own workers and staff let alone not be in shareholder interest. African countries are not likely to suddenly become
the Costa Ricas of the developing world.
