No. But we should be good people at all times. Good people help people in need.

I don't ask us to be the world's policemen. But I do think, whatever our religion (or lack thereof) we can take something from the story of the Good Samaritan.

I suppose if you saw a person lying bleeding by the side of the road you would drive on by because nobody appointed you the nation's hurt-people-saver?

No, you wouldn't. You would stop and help. I trust I'm right about that.
