Analysts for the big houses seem to prefer to air their opinions on the first days of options expiry week. Don't tell me it's merely coincidental.

Dan Niles of Lehman cut down all semis as well. (In fact, I see this as a potential positive sign as they acted so desperate because of their large short positions.)
