re:"Technically, a state of war did not exist with Iran...."

A state of war does not have to exist to have an enemy.... The USSR was our enemy for 50 years or so and many still consider the Russians an enemy.....Libya is an enemy, Cuba is an enemy, N. Korea is an enemy, Iran and Iraq are considered enemies. China is also considered and enemy. Aiding an enemy militarily without the approval of congress and the president would be considered treason. Reagan sold advanced anti-aircraft missiles to Iran to finance the secret and illegal war he was running in Nicaragua. The technology sold to the Chinese, on the other hand, was with the approval of congress and I would remind you that satellite technology transfers started under Bush Sr.....

You say Reagan didn't really sell weapons to Iran.....you said it was"not what actually happened". What do you think happened???
