...from ameritrade this morning. QUALCOMM INC (QCOM) EPS estimate down $0.01 to $0.32 for quarter ending 6/01. First, there is no "quarter ending 6/01," so I assume they mean 6/30. If QCOM beats by a penny for the q/e 3/31 and keeps the full year estimate the same ($1.26 per First Call), then the penny better needs to come from somewhere. Q3 makes sense. BTW, compared to ABN Ambro's dropping the full year estimate to $1.20 as they did last week (while saying QCOM should make the just-ended Q2 estimates), missing Q3 by a penny would actually be an improvement. I say this because in no way do I see them missing Q4 by 7 cents, as they would have to do to meet ABN's lowered estimates for the year.
