CNET Article On Palm Cash: "Palm's inventory stockpile woes Posted by Wes on Monday, April 09, 2001 - 4:51 PM EDT Morgan Stanley analyst Gillian Munson has released a report detailing Palm's inventory problems that threatens to cut Palm's unrestricted cash in half. Some of the blame for the stockpile of old devices is that Palm leaked information about upcoming models too early in addition to overestimated demand for their products. This is the first word I've heard of Palm being the official source of the m500 series leaks. Other analysts feel that Palm has bigger problems than cash on hand, such as long term component contracts which Palm rushed into during last year's component shortage." news.cnet.com
