Cablevision, what's that?

Att is continuing to expand its presence in the neighborhoods in every way it can. The telcos are doing the same. At the very least the death of fiber and the loop is greatly exaggerated. Doesn't really matter who owns the fiber. The default situation is that the main competitors must be allowed rented access on those networks. Digital TV, cable Internet, BB:telephony are all coming in robust forms, some perhaps faster than others, and certainly over the stupidass public's rejection for reportedly being too expensive. New services are being developed too.

The problem is that ATHM has sat and spun its wheels with a feckless CEO and a group of poorly led engineers. It isn't clear they have anything going for them. It's almost super clear that Att will have to take over and clean it up by letting heads roll. The first step is to reward Bell for his failure in order to completely get rid of the guy. He insults the company by showing up on the premises. He's lucky he doesn't have to deal with me. The second step is to get rid of the "culture" and its devotion to fairness and quotas. Fire all the useless eaters.
