None of this stuff is a waste of time, but we are in need of original thinkers. There is a tendency to gravitate toward a sameness in thinking. The end result is that we are all proved wrong at the same time.

Looking at all the analytical reports for the past few weeks, has anyone offered some insight that was substancially different from peer offerings? They move the recovery date back and forth about 6 months, but that's just a guess. They say things like AMAT and CSCO are XXX% percentage off their highs but is that any reason to buy in?

Can you imagine making a presentation to a group of would be investors and saying things like, "AMAT and CSCO are Gorilla candidates and that's why you should buy them now". The audience will look at you like a chimp .But we read this kind of message from the TV talking heads on a daily basis.

All of a sudden, no one has any visibility. Is this group think by the CEO's who are paid big bucks to see beyond the fog? Or is this national, "CYA week"?

The equation as I see it is at least three dimensional but the analysts keep looking at it like it is an old algebraic problem.

Enough ranting for tonight.....Jerome
