All these things have been already reported on the web. However, today we got a word from one of our sources rumoring that in the end of April, namely on 29 April, Intel is planning one more price drop for its Pentium 4 processors, which is expected to be impressively significant. Here is what we were told on the matter: The cost of Intel Pentium 4 1.7GHz will drop down to $361, i.e. by 49%. The price of Intel Pentium 4 1.5GHz will drop down to $256, i.e. by 51%. The cost of Intel Pentium 4 1.4GHz will get down to $193, i.e. by 49%. Of course, the info on such a massive price reduction may sound somewhat confusing. We will do our best to prove or disclaim this info in the nearest future. And in the meanwhile we would advise you not to buy any Pentium 4 CPUs before the end of April. BTW, if you happen to know something about this price drop, please send me a note at anna@xbitlabs.com. |
